Resetting your forgotten password

It happens. We all forget passwords. Fortunately Wordpress makes it easy to reset your password if you forget it.

  1. Visit your website.

  2. In the address bar simply append the text wp-admin after the slash. (Your full URL will look something like http://domain.com/wp-admin) then hit enter.

  3. You will end up at the either the Wordpress login screen or (if your browser is already logged in) you will end up at the Wordpress dashboard.

  4. At the bottom of the login area you will see a link to reset your password. Click it. Enter the email address associated with your Wordpress account.

  5. An email will be sent to you to complete this. Don't forget to check your spam folder if you don't see it within a couple minutes.
