A cache is a repository for stored data that is used to expedite the process of retrieving data. There are several types of caches, including webpage caches, hardware caches, software caches and memory caches. Caches are used to speed up a process so that data does not have to be recomputed or fetched from its original location and, therefore, saves time. The greater the requests that can be served from the cache, the quicker system performance becomes.
Visit the website and select the icon for the browser you are using.
Detailed instructions will pop up that are specific for that browser’s latest version.
If you are using an older version of that browser, you can select instructions for older versions at the bottom of the page.
Follow these steps to clear out the Safari cache on your iPhone. Note: This will log you out of any websites you’ve signed into.
Open the Settings app, and scroll down to the fifth group of options (with Mail at the top). Tap Safari.
Scroll down again and tap ‘Clear History and Website Data’.
Tap ‘Clear History and Data’.
